| I got new tires for my E30 today, and while it was on the lift I took the opportunity to inspect the underbody.
Found that the outer CV axle boot was torn on one side. So I'm online looking for a boot kit and I find that alleurasianautoparts.com has the whole axle assembly for 67.75.

Besides the axle nut lock plate(s), is there any other part I will need? And do any of you that have done this have any tips? I am using the Bentley manual. The only part that I have a question about is the removal of the inner CV joint from the drive flange.
Bentley says that it is held on by six "internal hex head bolts" that require a special tool to remove. Anybody got advice about these? |
