cost->325 engine swap in a 318 - BMW Forum

so every1 i got a 318i 1991 and im thinking of a 325 swap in it but i want to know how much it would cost me

Many G's dude... you might as well go with the m50 or m52 from the e36 325 or maybe do a s50 or s52 from the e36 M3.....
It will cost many thousands for any of them....

not sure about price .. But I know a guy that did the swap and he was happy with the outcome I asked him why not the m50 and he said he got a deal on the motor. But for what it was it screamed. Kept up with MY buddies Mk V R32 and an Audi A4 with some mods .

you can get M50's for about $500 turnkey and the M50 getrag for about $300...so for about $1000-1200 you can do a basic M50 swap

M20 swap will run you about $800-1000....so for $200 more dollars you have an M50...no brainer

M50 powAr

S50/S52 is pretty much out of the question as the OUTRAGEOUS price of the engines
