mhark is an unknown quantity at this point
1989 325i. Check light comes on immediately after starting car with coolant light on the overhaed panel.

I had the wiring repaired on the coolant temp sensor about 4 months ago and the car ran fine. About a month ago the check/coolant light began coming on after driving for 15-20 minutes. It is now on all the time. Tried to reset using the diagnostic tool to no avail! Coolant level is good!Disconnected the battery to see if there was any effect but there was not.

Any ideas on what my problem is?

Send a message via MSN to {NTM}
check for pad contact on the coolant sensor...maybe just a wiring problem...
