COOLANT LIGHT

This morning, as i started my car up, the coolant light stayed on. I checked the level and it was fine. No leaks or anything. Does this mean the water-pump has problems?
I also have another issue. The temperature gauge is "bouncy" it bounces all of a sudden but it never passes the middle. But most of the time, it seems like it's running cold.

So whatsup with the coolant light? and could the gauge thing be related? maybe a fauly thermostat??

Sounds like you need a new coolant level sensor and check the connections on the back of your cluster, that will cause the gauge to bounce.

I had the same problem. Replaced the coolant level sender and all is well. Also, the coolant level must be kept right up to the fill mark or the coolant light will come on while cornering.

My temp gauge also bounces around and like yours, never passes the midpoint, and usually indicates it's running a tad cool. Then again, almost all my gauges bounce all over the place and go in and out! Will eventually pull the whole cluster and check it out, but it's kinda low priority right now.
