| Coolant hose trouble... need help identifying hose bmw 325is 1989 m20
No leaks on the engine just got timing belt, water pump, crankseal, everythong was going fine heater and ac have always worked but a week after i got a new radiator cap this small hose burst and is dripping antifreeze on my hot engine..... never had that burnt antifreeze smell in my car which im positive is giving me cancer via my air vents so if someone could please help me figure this out
The hose is located dead center at the back of the engine running horizontal to the firewall and going into an inlet right beneath the fuel rail and the valve cover
When i took off my radiator cap to check the level i began hearing a hissing air sound from the hose and can see a rip/burst in the hose and while the engines running its only a minor drip but i really gotta stop the smell
- my heater and ac still work fine and my heater hoses running into the firewall look ok.
- temp gauge rises a bit at stop lights after sitting a min
- havent run out of coolant or gotten check engine light but a couple times at stops i was steaming up good and smelling things up
- cant find antifreeze puddles anywhere i can see
Ill try to take a picture on my phone but the hose looks like it a connects to the T shaped coolant hose running through the mid section of the engine
Any input is greatly aporeciated
