you are talking about cone right? cause thats the one thats cheaper...i say go cone and use plasting tubing...works best...more hear resistant, and you can use Heat reflective tape and wrap all the tubbing...it will rin outside temp and relocate the cone filter to below the factory airbox location...takes some cutting and work but has the HIGHEST WHP gains...my local e30 buddies and i tried this along with drop in filter and along with heat shiel and on dyno we got 3 more HP with this setup than with the heat shield version...buy an adapter and filter from ebay (dirt cheap and made exactly the same as K&N just doesnt have the stickers lol) and make a trip to home depot or whatever hardware store is available and pick up some PVC tubing and connectors its ugly but works the best. To make it look and funtion better wrap it in this stuff
i just recently got a short ram...and it made a difference. it seems more punchy and responsive...i like the increse

ITG filters are the best.. its what I use.. and love them. You can buy what ever type of intake you want.. and put a itg filter on it.. they are customized if it is needed... go to google and look them up...
This is also the filter that comes with the Jim C. Intake for e36...
dan get it where i got mine done man, just cruise here :-D
