Hi all,

I am new to the Forum and my girl friend has an 87 BMW 325e.
It is in ok condition.

I recently replaced the slave cylinder per awful leak.
The M/C just started squeaking very bad when pressed and depressed and hte pedal feels sticky. I know this is the M/C.

Any tips on replacement?

It definately sounds like a master cylinder.. I had an '88 super ETA 528 and I had a very similar problem, once I replaced the slave the master started to act up, was not to bad of a procedure, this was about 5 years ago, if I recall right the master feeds from the reservoir... If that is the case be careful not to create any air leaks, etc...

I away recommend that both cylinders are replaced at the same time whenever the slave the master will blow shortly after. Itís not too bad to renew buy a new plastic union for the feed hose fitting as they snap and note the height of the pedals before you start as the 17mm bolt at the top of the cylinder is an adjuster if you replaced the slave youíll know how to bleed the system
