Hey, def a noob to this board, honda mechanic by trade. My brother is a bmw guru but we have come across something we have never seen and don't want to tear anything up. he has a 84' bmw 318i, it is his beater car (his pride and joy is his restored 77' 320i) well it needs a clutch mastercylinder, doing the whole dripping in the floormat thing. hear is my problem, I have it all unbolted with the exception of what is the trick of getting to the brake line where it attaches in the engine bay at the firewall? once that line is off is there enough clearance inside the pedal assembly to just pull it through that way? I disconnected the brakefluid line from the reservoir and am assuming that the line will just pull through the firewall once I get the hardline off. Any tips/advice, help! lol

I don't know if you fixed this one yet, but some of the guys at the shop used to cheat and unbolt it and carefully pull it through the firewall and disconect it from the inside.
