cleaning the carpet

Thought I would pass this on. My father in law just bought an e36. It has an all white interior and the carpet was horrible. None of the cleaners worked very well so he asked one of his customers who is a detailer for any advice. The guy told him to use liquid laundry detergent mixed with water and scrub brush. He tried and his interior looks like new! B) I did it tonight to the old ix and damn if it didn't make my light grey carpets look great! I didn't soak the carpet..just enough on the brush to make it damp. I took a towel to it to dry it off when I was done.

also what works realy well take the carpet completly out of the car and take it to a car wash and presure wash it or if you have a presure washer at home works great
