check engine light?

my check engine light comes on at idle or at a stop light but if i rev my engine a tiny bit it goes away, anybody know what is going on? can you guys help me out?

Depending on the modle and year of you Bimmer this could because of your idler (wierd shaped thing on the throttle body) is going bad ($124) or the main pully fly wheel sensor is dirty or got knocked out of place, and you computer thinks the motor is cranking too slow. The sensor is really easy to get to. Its on the passenger side and will be about a foot below the distributer. You will need a stupid allens wrech to adjust it. But this information is only helpful for the 325 series. Good luck I hope I was helpful.

Its fixed now, actually it was my vacuum hose that connected to my airflow sensor and my engine. it was cracked and coming off. anybody know where i can get steelbraided lines and a new throttle body hose cuz mine is starting to rip also.
