I'm sure this is infinitely variable, even amongst like cars with similar batteries, but does anyone have any idea how long I can leave my stereo on without the motor running before my charge gets low enough that the car might have trouble starting again? I have (I think) a Duralast in there and it's about eight months old. Never had any trouble, so just an optimistic answer would be fine.

I don't work it too hard, so I was thinking I might get a hour or two out of it before it needed to be fired up and charged again.

what kinda stereo? In my other car I have 2 12's, 1000 Watt Amp and some other stuff in there, I can run the subs for quite a while, and i only have a basic battery in there. If you have some big equipment in there, it can depend how long, if its stock, probally a very long time. There is a little thingy you can buy that automatically shuts everything off when the battery gets to the lowest possible voltage to start. So that you dont have to worry about not starting
