Center break light replacement?

Hello, this is my first post here.

I have a 92 325i convertible. I'm having trouble figuring out how to replace the break light on the top of the trunk. The Haynes manual states it has two screws which should be removed; but my version doesn't have that.

I can lift up the sides of the enclosure with a screwdriver, but I can't pull the light out, and I don't want to rip the entire enclosure off. Has anyone had this problem before?

I'll post a picture of it later.
