I live in Michigan and right now its freezing. The temps. are about in the 20's or below on average. I was wondering if my Bmw should have time to warm up or i should drive it right away to get the engine oil circulating. I know it says somewhere in the manual about this. So is warming up a car a myth or are Bmw's the only cars like this? Thanks

Just start your car...depending how intense the cold is...just let it sit for 10 to 30 seconds and then just drive it easy until operating temp.

Driving it easy (not reving past 3000 rpms) is the best way to get it warmed up. Letting it sit won't warm it up very fast, will just basically waste gas and your catalytic converter may get messed up.
