| Car runs for 3 or 4 seconds then shuts off My car has been sitting for about 4 years before I bought it. I had to replace the starter which is why they parked it. I got it running but it sounds as if it is skipping and only stays running for about 3 or 4 seconds. I discovered a small pinhole leak in a fuel line running from the pump to the filter. Could my problem be pressure related or something more serious? I have not taken the injectors out to clean them because I put a bottle of Sea Foam in the tank for that. Do I need to do this? Also I have learned that vacume leaks could be the culprit but there are all new lines and the boot from the fuel dist to intake is also new so I dont believe that is my problem. Also bought new plugs. Also what purpose does the fuel injection frequency valve serve?
