Car Randomly Cuts Off

hi, i have an 1987 bmw 325is(E30) and i recently put a cold air intake on it, ever since it has been acting very weird. On left turns it will cut completely off, hard and light turns. Some times it will cut off when im idling at a light or sign, and won't start for a couple minutes. I've tried putting the old filter back on, that didn't help. Someone please help me out.Hank

Make sure you pluged the connector for you AFM back in snugly. If this is loose the will die at times.

Also check your fuel pump relay....can give the same symptoms when starting to fail.

wow, actually it was the distributor! one of my friends said he had a similar problem with his mercedes and it was because his distributor was cracked. mine wasnt cracked but when i opened it up there was probably a cm of corosion on each plug. i dont know what that has to do with left turns but i scrapped all of it off and it works like a charm now.

left turn thing was probally it tilting into the rust..killing the transfer of electircity...or whatever.
