Can't turn key past first stop

maricl n00b Join Date: Jun 2004 Car: Posts: 1 Photos:	I can't get my key past the first stop which just unlocks the steering wheel and power for lights. I removed the steering wheel and column cover on recommendation to unplug ignition switch. I was told it could be the switch or the tumbler. Anyone have experience with this problem? Can the ignition switch be disconnected just to get the key to turn all the way to start position?
