can i retrofit 13 button onboard computer onto my car?

i have the old 6 button computer which only gives time,date, and temperature outside.can i retrofit the 13 button computer that gives mpg and and average speed.can i just buy it and switch it for the one i have.does it just plug in and can it use the same place and will it fit. just wanted to know?would all i need to fit it would be the actual computer nothing else? thanks

do i also need the on board computer module that goes with this specific type of computer? this 13 buton display will not work with my 6 button obc module. is that correct?

i am quite sure it requires the obc of the better computer systems car the original one the car came out of. and some wires look on ebay and they have complete kits to switch over to. gl
