Caliper Swap in my E30 - BMW Forum

i am looking to swap calipers in my 1991 318is and was wondering if ne one knew what other calipers will fit? I think that a caliper from a M3 E36 will but dunno for sure or dont know any others will so any help will be helpful. THANKS

Dude. only e30 calipers will fit, e30 M3's or others will not.

Now, if you're going aftermarket, as in big break kits.

where did you see good prices at cause the cheapest ones i have found are like $2000

You will need to update your 4 lug wheels size on your E30 to fit the TAROX caliper brake kit. It is made for the older BMWs...E30 models to be more specific. Get a complete quote at Scottsdale Motorsports L.L.C. For your 17 inch wheels and tires package with your new updated TAROX built sport calipers.

load of rubbish mate if you get brake calipers from a 540 e34 and buy the adapters to fit them its a common brake upgrade in the uk

You can't swap the m3 brakes or the later 3 series without a 5 lug swap - see treehouseracing.com

Oh just swap some agressive pads and some superblue or similar in it and you can stop like a pro all day.

E30 Zone - Uk's largest E30 community - You are trying to access a restricted area.
ANT has since agreed to look into making these up,details and costs to be confirmed!
So if you fancy having bigger brakes on your E30 then this is the thing for you.
As far as i am aware you will need the following parts to go with the above brackets.
750i calipers9540i same?)
Audi TT discs(drilled to suit)
So anyone want to join me in this group buy?

Oops, my bad then, I never heard of such adaptor., can you please post a link ?

I went with first generation IE BBK, basically Corvette brakes, and adaptor and 25mm MC from a (1990 ?) 750iL or e30 m3.
