Brake Lines

how hard is it to replace the brake lines by yourself? I was quoted 450 dollars on replacement by Sullivan Tire - "If everything goes to plan". I was dealing with a new guy and he pissed me off by trying to take me for a fool. The BMW manual doesn't even make steps for replacing the brake line, it just has it in a paragraph. Is this an easy-to middle difficulty job that I can do myself? (i replaced my entire front end myself..if you're wondering my qualifications)
