well got pulled over because my brake lights did not work, the on board comp. did not show that there was a problem.
well after investigating, found out that the lights actualy come on for a very short time when the pedal is part of the way down, and they go out very quickly past that point.
maybe one of you guys can help me with this problem.

do none of the lights work, or just some?

there is a switch on the brake pedal, about 15 from autozone, that is likely the culprit if none work.

if only some don't work, pull the tail light assemblies out and clean the contact strip. these like to get quite nasty.

I agree that it's more that likely the switch, it easy to test drop the kick panel find the switch which rests on the peddle pull off the connector and bridge wire with another piece of wire turn on the ignition if the lights come on it's the switch.

I'll take a look at the switch.
btw all of the brake lights are out that's why I was pulled over
