bouncing idle - NO power - BMW Forum

Hi again,
Just traded Bimmer's with my Sister. Her car's idle is doing the pulsing thing, which I suspect is the IAC, but there is also no power at all. VACUUM LEAK?
It's a 325i not an E like mine, so it has a different engine (although they look pretty similar).

Any thoughts?

First, clean out the throttle body with carb cleaner and a rag, next check the spark plugs, then the fuel filter.

Thanks for the reply - for some reason, either I ask stupid questions, or no one knows the answer, so it's nice that I get a reply!

Anyway,
Did a little poking around, and found that the bellows and host to the ICV were cracked. I suspect that this is the problem. tried to band-aid with magic tape, but it's still running pretty badly. Ordered the new parts from BAVAUTO today, and I'll go from there. Also notice that the oil light was on. How long has my sister been running the car with that on????!!!!!! AAAAAA! Have to check to see if it's really low. Haven't had the chance yet. Maybe today.
