bought an 89' 325i..need some opinions....

im new on here and bmw...i also own a b5 a4 but thats another forum...
anyways anyone heard bout this intake or used it:
eBay Motors: BMW E30 E34 Carbon Fiber Cold Air Intake 318i 325i 525i (item 120399300921 end time Mar-31-09 17:45:27 PDT)
and the afm is same thing as maf right? or can someone educate me?

one lst thing i want an exhaust was thinking of magnaflow any suggestions?

interesting.
my 2 cents:
second time Ive seen this system talked about.
looks like it would work
but definetly get a heat shield in there.
not sure about cost of replacements
looks like ribbed dryer hoe is restrictive or creates more turbidity (sp?)
the other pics look like they used some other hose or it has insulation wrapped around it as it should. Its all bout eliminating the massive heat comming off the radiator and engine creating a hot air intake.

i have bavauto system with larger K&N filter (easy to order replacements)
but I had to build custom heatsheild
and I removed second headlight to get cold high ppressure ar right in, almost a ghetto ram induction, looks like you could put a funnel in for this syste, too.
I believe it works fantastic according to my butt dyno

you can dremel some of the slots on the grill too
best system Ive seen is big closed box.

MAF Mass air flow meters have the flapper newer AFM' air flow meters are desity reader no flap less restriction.

even still Id put money into (GC coilovers) or biily sports, H&R race springs and ST sways first.
