BMW newb, 1998 e30 rebuild.

I bought car with #1 piston gone, at 275,000.

I will be rebuilding the motor. New to BMW and want advice on parts to use.
1) want to keep descent fuel economy.?
2) don't mind adding power.?
3) pistons?
4) rings?
5) etc.?

Will have head rebuilt.
6) performance cams?
7) valves?
8) head work?

What about...
9) larger fuel injectors (keep in mind economy).

Any additional items i should think about changing?

I read one of the posts about an aluminum rad and a new w/pump and an A/M air filter kit.

Seems like a total rebuild with a cylinder down. As to performance cams, the M20 is a SOHC. Bigger injectors are very bad on MPG; the M20 uses timing overlap to enhance performance already (OEM). I'd blueprint the bottom, and get a good rebuilt head... My E30 internet friends suggest a swap to an M50

right, e30 is the body series and M20 being the motor, thanks for that. I realize it is a sohc, are there any after market cams worth while? I will add blue print to the list. seeing this one made 275,+++, i would like the next to repeat.
