BMW E30 320i 1988 help/advice ?

I just bought a 1988 2dr BMW E30 320i and its my first bmw.It has electrical trouble(I think),the rev counter,wipers,passenger elec mirror,and drivers door lock doesnt work even though the central locking works on the other door and the boot.there is a panel up over the mirror with check lights staying on,brake lights,washer fluid etc.On the instrament panell there is a series of lights which are 4/5 green ones,then yellow,then red.the yellow and red are staying on ?I have been searching around the web and parts are fairly cheap,I just need to find out as much about the car as I can.I want to get everything working properly before I start modifying it.
Any help is apreciated !!
Also what are the best mods for this car ? Suspension,Brakes,Filter,etc.I have a good idea what I want done with the interior so go ahead and give me your opinions on the rest...

i wish i could give some advice but i am trying to figure that one out myself...what are you going for drag racing, circuit racing etc..your setup would depend on what you want out of your car..

Take it to a BMW shop and ask them to reset your lights and they should be able to tell you what the exact problem is. It also could be that a fuse is blown.
