Privateye is an unknown quantity at this point
I have a 87-88 BMW E30 318i. Recently, i have started to experience an idling problem. When i start the car for the first time the idle sits on 1000rpm and then gradually starts dropping until the car turns off. The only way to prevent this is for me to keep my foot on the pedal. After the car has warmed up, it starts to idle properly. This problem occurs everytime i cold start the vehicle. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

Thanks in advance

If you’ve got a M10 then it could be the auxiliary air slide valve or you’ve got an air laek in the inlet tracked somewhere

Where is the auxiliary air slide valve located? Also where are the vacum pipes located?
