e21 wanted is an unknown quantity at this point
If anyone knows of a E21 3 series convertible made from 1976 to 1982 that is for sale or sitting around somewhere then i would like to know. I want a E21 convertible whether its a Baur conversion or not. i have had 323i and restored it to mint condition a few years ago and sold it but know i want a convertible that is all intact and still together but needs restored. Please help it doesnt matter whether its a 316, 318 or anything although i would prefer the 323i as i have many spares for one. can anyone help.

From 1975-83, the only E21 convertible body that you're going to find will probably be a Baur. Unless, of course, someone made their own. Correct me if I'm mistaken, but the factory didn't offer a 3 series convertible till the E30 body, later in the '80s. 1988, if I remember right.

Hi There,

I have a 325i (I think) 1987 Convertible that is in excellent mechanical condition, it only needs cosmetic repairs, which even at that are not that bad. Needs a new top, back seats (front seats are still perfect, no rips or cracks in the leather), side panels, front bumper, paint (chips and dings here and there, no dents), trunk lift hydrolicks, turn signal mechanism, and the bolts for the glove compartment. Maybe more tiny misc items, but nothing very visible. I bought it to restore...now I am not so sure about the project. Interested?

not to mention 1987 is not a E21...thats an E30
