A friend and I are looking to buy a track car and don't want to spend a lot of cash. In town are 1980 320 with a fuel delivery problem and a 1987 325 with a busted automatic transmission (we are thinking of doing a conversion to manual). I don't have much experience with either type of car and was wondering which people prefer for track use. The car would never be used as a daily driver.
well i had a 84 325e that ran 16.13 stock and 14.91 modified.... so of course im gonna say 325....but what kind of track car? they are both very worthy cars for Auto X....if its drag racing you are looking for, no offense, its not what they are made for...like someone once said

what did you do to your car that made it that fast. I have done a shitload of work to my car and it is no where near that fast
