I'm looking at getting BBS RX 17x8 with 10 offset wheels. I will be installing Eibach Pro Kit with Koni Adjustables. Will these wheels fit my lowered E30. Also what is the widest tire I can fit on these wheels that will not rub on my fenders.
that will deffinately give you a wider track, but it might cross the line from aggresive to goofy looking. you run a risk of damaging your fenders no matter what tires you put on, unless you roll your fenders; due to such a low offset. a 8" wide wheel would be better suited with something around a 15mm offset on your car. if you had a friendlier offset and rolled fenders you could probably squeeze 245's in the rear, but i think the most you'll be able to fit is 225's (if you can find the proper sidewall profile) and that is a very good amount of rubber for a e30.
8" ET10 would be about an inch into your fender's space.
With the right offset (20-25), 225 width is the widest going into stock 88+ fenders. But if you have an 8" wide wheel, 225 wouldn't work. You'd have to go with a 215.
after looking at tire sizes, it looks like 215/40/17 is going to be your only option as far as tire sizes go.
i really think anything higher than a 20mm offset will come dangerously close to rubbing the strut once the tires are mounted, and anything under 15mm will not have adequate fender clearance. when running a 8" wheel on a e30 there is very little tolerance concerning offset, imo i would keep looking for a wheel no wider than 7.5" wide. also, with a 15" or 16" wheel, you can find tires in 225 that will fit.
Any 7.5" wheel with a ET25 offset is the ringer setup. That or VERY close (meaning 23-27) will fit a 225. Otherwise, a 7.5" with 20-30 will work with a 205. Also, 225/45/16 and 205/50/16 are the sizes I'm talking about.
The bolt pattern is 4x100 and the hub needed is 57.1mm.

Hi Mystikal, I PM'd you a few days ago. Did you receive my message?
on a stock size rim what is the widest tire that I could fit on my car? Ok, stock height rim. I think its like what, a 14"? 15"? Do you think I could fit a 205? 215? @_@ I'm so bland in tire talk, but I want wider tires for more grip. I'm planning to get the fender flares off ebay or something so it'll look right, but if you have any suggustions, that'd be tight.

i think the widest tire you can find for a stock 14" rim would be 205
For mainstream tires, the best bet is 205/60/14 Yoko ES100's. You can get 225-width rubber, but it's only track stuff. Also take a look at the Falken Azenis Sport. It comes in a 195/60/14 size, but it'll grip better than any other 14" road tire you can find.
Also don't worry about fender work, you wouldn't even notice a difference visually.
