Does anyone knows if a 84 318i uses a barometric presure sensor??

No car does. Just an airflow sensor based on incoming air temp (and mass), using a heated wire measuring the rate of cooling.

Aka the MAP sensor

Barometric Pressure Sensor Wiring Connections - bimmerfest - BMW Forums

I saw one at the salvage yard, and clipped its connector/wiring FWIW.

Well it's still not an actual barometer, which measures weather atmospheric pressure.
