Aux fan for ac 88 3251S

On the fan shroud in front of the radiator there is a 2" long magnetic starter attached to the shroud. How to remove it?
Thanks,
Dick

That, if its the part Im thinking of, is NOT a magnet. Its a resistor for the "low" setting on the cooling fan. The connector has a ground and 2 12 volt positives. The low setting turns on one 12 volt leg, which goes through this resistor, which makes the fan spin at a lower speed. The "high" setting is the other 12 volt pin which goes direct to the fans motor to run it at full speed.

Still need a fan shroud for my '62. Splangy indicated he had one, but haven't seen him online for a while. Anyone out there got one for me? My rig is road-ready with the exception of the shroud, and it's getting pretty hot without it !
