auto tranny ??

The 89 325i I'd got for my daughter started spewing tranny fluid out the access plate on bottom of the bell housing this pm. Since had some prev shift issues with it{normal for that tranny[4hp22] I've heard}, I'm suspecting blown the front seal on the tranny, anyone had to have one rebuilt? I'm wondering a dollar figure it'll run me. I plan on making some calls tomorro to assess costs at a local shop.

It’s not a big job if it’s just the torque converter seal I think the book times about 4 hours, but you need someone who know the score then it comes to re-fitting the torque converter.
