Anyone done an Auto to Manual conversion? I have to replace my 325i cabrio engine and thought "might convert it to manual also" if you have done it please tell me how hard it was and how much $$ was taken from the wallet.

Someone posted this link a while back, they sell a kit that includes all the parts required for the conversion. It is towards the bottom of the page.

i did it to mine. it's easy as long as you have the parts. it didnt cost me anything except for the clutch disk, slave cylinder, and short shifter. all the parts bolt up with no problem, the pedal cluster is the biggest time consumer just cause you dont have any room. it would cost a pretty penny to have someone do it though

Go to www.seambmw.com and in their Tech aritcles they have the conversion wrote up along with a list of parts. Hope this is helpful.

i know ebay has OEM 5 speeds for around $300 every once in awhile
