Anyone ever seen this color of leather? - BMW Forum

Hey... I found a really nice set of leather seats in the JY the other day and decided to swipe them for my Dad's '91 318. They are a really unique color that I've never seen on an E30. I found the spec sheet behind the rear seat springs... the color is (in German) Taurusrot. I think that this translates to Bull Red? Anyhow, it's kind of a deep reddish brown color. Very unique. It came out of an '86 325i. Anyone else out there ever seen this color?

I've seen a factor red interior in an E30 and E28 but I don't know if it is the same color I've seen. Post some pics.

Here's a picture that I found on Google... looks like they're in a 6 series. This is the color though. Pretty sweet... I didn't know it exsisted!

the old 500 mercs use the same colour,they class it as ox blood.....

still a rare colour i think.

Yea, There was about 6 months ago on ebay U.K a 5 series with that colour and the paint work matched, it looked AWFUL.

Go to an auto upholstery shop and ask them. They probably have a catalog with that leather choice available. I have a client that has a shop and does this work in Southern California.

It's difficult for me, at least, to follow this thread. However, if I am reading this right there are two different vantage points. One is that the interior is red and the other is that the interior is tan. Is that right?

delphin gray exterion red/black interior
cinnabar, helrot, some german word I thought other than the one OP used?

oh yeh "cardinal red" I believe it is
