oo and get it right if your gonna qoute me, i dont remember what i said but i KNOW i didnt say dont put money into E30... maybe the guy was trying to dumb a shit load on a old M10 318 and wanted it to go "fast"... I think i remember saying it for that...that being siad it was ment for the guy to sell that M10 and get a later model E30 if he wanted to go fast..
oo yea angle eyes suck.... vote communist, im up for office :yup
the angel eyes that old school bimmer showed you those arent premade angel eyes its a prewired kit for an e36 like thishttp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33710&item=7922502976&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW
hella is/was the OE supplier for bmw ellipsoids; they came stock on e30's in europe. the main difference between euro ellips and US sealed beams is the projector lense and the H1 bulbs, other differences include the 'smiley' cut out and the 5w city light. the ellipsoids would offer a very noticeable lighting upgrade with decent bulbs, and if you go with ellipsoids you have the option of upgrading to HID which could be just as good as modern bmw 'xenons'. you can usually find a good pair of OEM hella ellips on ebay for under $200 (which i think you just demonstrated in your last post).
You get what you pay for, unless you buy Kingston RAM or a GM.
Go dig through a salvage yard, projectors came stock on E30s (though not with H1/4s) after 1987.
I don't really think they're awful, but when would you ever even see them? Are you going to drive around at dawn or dusk with them on, so that all six people who look hard enough in traffic notice them? If you're at a lot of shows where people pay attention to that kind of thing, and you really like them, then maybe they're worth the extra $100.
You can make them yourself, I guess.
But they're still largely pointless. Personally, I don't think they fir the car at all.
