advice on intake/exhaust - BMW Forum

ok i'm doing my oil change/plugs this weekend and once that's out of the way i want to move towards the in-hale and exhale.

i'm in the air between a test pipe(car is tagged historic, no emmisions) or turbo muffler. i want a deep throaty sound, and am leaning to the test pipe.

also i found for the intake if i got a short ram cone i'd need to make a heat shield, but then found a "kamotors cone enclosed intake" it replaces air box and attatches right to MAF with a conversion. (100$)

input?

also should i modify my MAF and AFM? or leave those alone for another time?

fyi my budget right now is about 350 for the exhaust/intake and i know i will have cash left over...so what should i do with it?

You could have an exhaust shop do your well exhaust. For the intake when o had my e30 o had a drop in k&n filter. You can do a chip also and still have enough. Also an accel coil= smoother acceleration.

ignition coil you mean?
aftermarket or oem replacement?

It was after market, but it made her run so much more smoothly. There's a few little things to get power out of these cars. Also of you take care of it it will last forever.

I hate to say this but I beat that car, have it hell honestly but it took it and just kept going.
