Actually it is the third ingredient in TNT "Tri-Nitro Toluene" and I will see what I can find. It has been used primarily as a super octane booster. Most octane boosters you would buy at a store would boost the rating of your octaine by "up to 5 points" or something like that... so if you put 89 octaine in your tank, and put a can of that stuff in it, you get... 89.5 octane!!! ooooOOOOoooohhh! But Toluene can boost by whole numbers... The right concentration could boost your 89 octaine to 94 octaine! Now THAT is a booster!
