I have a 1983 320i and am having trouble with it. It will start and maintain itself running only if I have my foot on the gas. When I take my foot off the car dies. When RPMs are at about 2000 it runs fine. I can drive it but even when I go to shift it wants to die before I can get to the next gear. Any ideas on what it might be? Help please.
