91 318i convertible top replacment

I have a 1991 318i convertible and between a combo of the sun and a couple of neighborhood felines using it as their bed my top has 2 rips one over each seat each about 12-14 inches long. im pretty sure that they cant be patched because the rest of the top seems dry rotted from the sun......so, how hard is it to replace the top on this car and can i get one anywhere besides a BMW dealer?

Cat's have also ruined my top...I haven't gotten around to replacing it yet though....I still have no way of keeping the cats off.

But there are a ton of places to get an OEM top from. Although, I don't know which ones are better or worse.

I'm not going to replace my top until I have a garage I can park in and close the door.

or until I get a hard top for it...

I've thought about using fox pee (yup, you heard me...) and putting it on the top...cats are supposed to run away scared.

Is the hard top still removable? If so how hard is it to remove it?
