Depends on what 2.5 you want to drop in there. Are you going for a M20 or a newer model engine? Definetly for sure you have to do the wiring harness also but also depends what you want to get out of it.

M20's are the factory engines tha E30's (325s) came with until they changed to the E36 body in 1992. Decent power but depending the mods that you do to them. Most people either keep their M20's or upgrade to a newer engine from a E36 325 or above.

so im better to think to put a newer 325 engine in it?
yeah pretty much. The swap is so common you can find plenty of resources on how to do it, you get better power from an M50 than an M20, and better gas mileage.
