91 318 swapped cluster and now the windows dont work?!? - BMW Forum

The OBC died on my 91 318 so I swapped the cluster but now the power windows and cluster illumination dont work. I checked all the fuses (all are good) and would really appreciate any thoughts on where to look next.

You may have disconnected the Cuttoff switch (one of the buttons next to the OBC and the Hazard lights). That will certainly stop your windows from working.

If that is the case, you wouldn't be the first to get fooled by that DAMNED BUTTON! I have a thread on here from last summer where a buddy of mine that had owned an e30 before pushed that button and I had to drive 50 miles each way to work and back for about 3 days in Atlanta, IN SUMMER, WITHOUT AC!!!!!!! I was such a noob!
Just check the black button above the OBC to see if you can see the orange/red outline at the back. If you CAN, push it in, and your windows SHOULD work!
