90 E30 Swap - BMW Forum

So i love my E30 (3rd one) its been great to me, but i recently picked up a 94 E36 AUTO for dirt cheap it was rear ended.

Ive been doing a lot of research on this swap and it seems very possible, as i have done plenty of swaps including my E30... And it seems that it will be very easy my questions are, would the mounts need to be modified? Can i use my OG E30 5 spd for the E36 motor if so is there any chnges or adapters needed? Lastly will the harnes plug into my firewall harness without any mods? Sorry for rambling on just trying to get some facts if anyone knows a bit about this swap or mods that need to be done, i would really like to know your feedback please & thanks.....Kenny

while swapping major parts like engine one should always check the history of the new part being installed.
