89 325i problems out the...well u know

I have an 89 325i (6cyl.) and I have been having all sorts of issues. I REALLY cant afford a maechanic when it comes to about anything on this car!! I am not shure how many owners before me or relly if they took good care of it,So, any help or tips would be wonderful. 1st issue is a sound it makes- when I turn the wheel to the right- it sound kinda like an old iorning board when u extend it. I know enought to say its not power stearing fluid. You can be standing outside and if someone is pulling away in the car it seems to be coming directly from the the wheel/tire area.
2nd issue he coolant tank/hoses(its been overheating) but, my q really is about a hose that goes nowhere- its cut. It is a small hose that comes out I want to say, if u r standing on the drivers looking, on the part of the tank thats closest to the body. It is only about 6-8" long. Also, is there supposed to be only one small tank for coolant? If I remember correctly in the book it says something about another tank?? any help or vehicle info...

Well teh first noise sounds like ur wheel bearing, if u turn and it makes that sound then its a good chance that it is the wheel bearing... u can also have a mechanic diagnos the problem, then do the work urself. The hose thing i have no clue about that..

Does it make the noise when u cut the wheel all the way to the right or at any time? as for the area to put the coolant their is the cantainer where u can add the collant and their is the radiator i dont think they have two seperate containers
