89 325e Hard Start when warm

Hey Guys
1st "problem" post, will have many as I have finally gotten my car somewhat road worthy and took my 1st short road trip, only to hear and feel several things I KNOW I am not supposed to experience!
Anyone have any experience with problematic re-start issues? Pretty good cold start, idles good, runs great!
After driving a few miles, stop for whatever, it takes 10 to 15 seconds of playing with the gas pedal, then once fires, feathering the pedal to finally get to a point where I can layoff the pedal and it will idle again...
After it finally cranks, there is a smell of like raw gas for a sec, and associated white smoke (not a lot) until it burns off I guess?
Currently running some fuel injector cleaner through. Plugs are new but wires are not!
Have done nothing really to the engine since buying the car, so everything is suspect!
Have searched the forum for this issue but most all are NO Start.
Thanks in advance and have a good rest of the weekend
randy

Sorry for the late reply dark islight...
Read the post you lead me to and it sounds like this could def be my issue... Will look for this rogue wire ASAP...
Will post if this cures my warm start ills.
Thanks again
