Yesterday I stoped at a little back alley garage and they had a black m3 out front. So I went over and took a gander at it. It looks in great condition front to back..The only bad thing was the ghetorific rims someone put on it. Anyway I go inside and the guy working asks if Im interested in it? I say maybe whats wrong? Some young kid had it and the timing belt went and it took the rods with it. They replaced the whole top end and now the kid doesn't have the money to pay for it! He hasn't called in a couple mounths and they can't reach him. It's now running up 20 bucks a day storage cost and pretty soon the car legaly becomes theirs. It sounds like they will sell it just to get whats owed out of it. I gave him my cell number and told him to call me when that happens. Unfortunatly for me I'm buying a Bar right now and just don't have the extra cash for another bimmer. But if any of you guys are interested I'll be happy to let you know when I get the call. I Would like to see the car get a bimmer enthusiest as an owner. I Would hate to see an e30 m3 driveing by all beat up and ghetto'ed out.
Btw its an 88, black inside and out. It's in York Pa.

Yea well right now it's bank stress and then the stress of owning the place but I've been in the restraunt bus. so long it's time to own or get the hell out.
Anyway this place where the car is at is a back alley mechanic. I would never have seen the car if not out of dumb luck.

Btw.. He told me to make him an offer. I told him I had no idea what they were worth so I would have to check what there going for. used I would love to take if for a test spin. Maybe tell him I want to buy it but I gotta drive it first! I would like to see how different it is compared to my 325ix!

dont tell him this but average is around 10,000, if its in good condition (like mint) they run for about 15,000. Even if it isnt in perfect condition, if the engine and paint are in decent shape it will sell for the 15 since the 88 is probably the most popular E30 m3
