Realoem.com got me this part number 12141730793 for the DME which is what I think you are looking for. It might not be right without a vin and there are a couple other options units that pop in there, you might try and see what pops up for you if you enter the last 7 digits of your VIN and then select engine electrical system and then select control units from what pops up, you might get something with fewer possibilities.

*hmm.. you have "interesting" inputs. But thank you for the effort. My research tell me that there is only 1 specific ECU/ECM for the 1988 E30 325; but am not in the know what OEM # specifically.
Problems here arise from a "recycled" super ETA that i bought NOT in running condition. On inspection of the ECU, i found that it had a recycled 154 ECU - that bumps and stutters on accelaration & deceleration occasionally. Sometimes it's bad enough to kick tthe CEL into lighting. AFM, throttle switch, main relay, fuel pump relay, and ICV are all up to specs and in order, with no leaks on the intake.
I tried a 173 ECU/ECM which they say can be a replacement, but although it runs, i have the CEL on and runs very rough.
