'88 325 is an unknown quantity at this point
I am looking to purchase an '88 325e ("Super Eta") and I was wondering if anyone knew what the horsepower rating on it is. I have found some info on it on the DINAN web site. They show 143hp @ 5000 RPM and 174lb ft @ 3500 RPM.

http://dinancars.com/filepreview.asp?pdf=A...03%20series.pdf (5th page)

I've also read on some other site that the '88 only got a 6hp increase over its predecessor (making it 127hp).

Any input will be appreciated

Horsepower bumped up to 127 @ (I think) the same 4250rpm, torque stayed the same.

The '88 changes from 121 hp @ 4250 to 127 @ 4800. The torque remains at 170 ft-lbs, but at 3200 instead of 3250. The compression is also different, changes to 8.5:1 from 9.0:1. The fuel injection system is also the motronic 1.1, changed from the motronic.
