86 bmw 325es starting problems

i have a bmw 325es i tryed to start it and it shut off because it was cold but it did this about 10 times and now when i try it, the starter seem like it isnt connected or somthing it wont even tick its done this before but i cant figure it out. i tryed to hook up a charger to it if the batterie isnt working but the fule pump works so its not the batterie.

Be sure and check to see if the starter is grounded good. I know it sounds weird but even though the casing is bolted to the engine it still may not ground good. I ran a wire from one of the bolts on the end of the starter motor to the shock tower ground by the battery to fix mine. Try to use a jumper wire from the positive battery to the outside terminal on the selenoid and see if you get anything if it isn't the ground. Hope this helps
