Hi, i was wondering if there was an e30 m3 produced in 85? reason i'm asking is because some dudes selling a red 85 e30 on ebay and says its an m3 import imported from europe...but it doesnt have the obvious body stylings of an m3 e30 (wide quarter panesl and fenders)

That is a M20, but ask him for the vin number to verify the age, or see if there is anything wrong with it. Also make sure that if you buy the car, that it complies with the local emission laws.

Is that guy who's selling that anywhere in the NC area? Some guy tried to sell me his 325es with a non-working tach and a GM radio. He claimed it was an M3 because of the "M" on the front.

In that case... I've got some beachside property in Iowa that I would like to sell. That is an e30 325 not M3, you can tell easily by the M3 characteristics... wide fenders, unibody rear spoiler, 5 lug BBS wheels. Dont be fooled by some tag job that was done on the car back in Germany, good luck and dont by e36 the e30 has a much meaner stance and could really be an upgradeable fun car. E36 looks like a Civic on Steroids.
