85 318i engine swap?

My m10b18 is on its las leg, and i was wondering if i should rebuild the motor itself or swap in a m42?

if ithe engine is even worth rebuilding id like to get maybe increase the stroke on it. are there any oem internals from other models interchangeable into an m10? like a camshaft and connecting rods?
how hard would it be to stroke?
id eventually like to turbo it
im on a tight budget so id like to keep it all the parts stock from other cars to fit

Can't say anything about rebuilding m10, becouse i just kicked it out of the car and swaped other engine.
M40 fits and works, but you need to change a lot as m10 is carburetor and m40 is injection. So you need fuel pump in the back, also aditional fuel rail, all wiring and so on. Would be best to get crashed e30 with m40 and swap everything
