I would say, before I bought this particular car: jack it up with the provided BMW jack as if you had a flat tire, on both sides on the front and see if the car will hold....on the jack that is.....that's where you determine it rust is an issue or not. My guess that rust is a major point. If you can jack a 320 up of that vintage on both sides without the jackpoint going right though the rocker panels then you have a sweet 320i body on your hands.
